http://www.dsmlink.com/images/photos/in ... neprom.jpg http://www.dsmchips.com/images/products/1258409048.jpg 2nd one has a chip put in it.. you need to open up your ecu and see if there is one in there.... if so it needs to be what they call..socketed.. they take out the stock chip.. put in a new piece so u can install a upgraded chip...(new piece/socket) this is what the socket looks like. http://splitmotorsports.com/store/image ... socket.jpg this is what the final product will look like with the socket and new chip installed.. http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/1350/30547302.jpg or in my case you plug in the ostrich ribbon to run speed density. http://www.moates.net/images/ostrich2/ost2_items.jpg I know it can all get confusing so if you have any more questions feel free to ask. Quote: just looked it up and i can see you can buy eprom chips for your ecu.. but then there are standard ones listed there.. how do i know if my ecu is chipped? i know mine is out of a vr4
That software is purely for datalogging. You can't tune the ecu through the diagnostic port, on a stock ecu.
i have been thinking about buying tuning software as ive seen them before but was never sure if it would work with my car was looking at this cable then get software http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111060876295 ... 1423.l2649 |
