DSM Graveyard has the 1g DSM FWD M/T and 1g DSM AWD A/T listed as the same. Do these two starter plates share the same part number?

http://www.thedsmgraveyard.com/SearchRe ... Search.y=0

I did some quick searching and I know the 1g FWD M/T starter plate will work but didn't see any specific reference to anyone using the 1g AWD A/T starter plate. Just wanted to confirm my options as I obtained what was supposed to be a 1g FWD M/T starter plate but looks to be a 2g FWD M/T starter plate after discovering I had starter fitment issues. Time to drop the trans and confirm my speculation. Just what you want to happen when you're ready to finish a build :D I'm using a KM210 mated to a 4G63T.

Just to be clear, my starter plate options for a KM210 or F5M33 mated to 4G61 or 4G63 are as follows:
  • 1g DSM FWD M/T
    1g DSM AWD A/T
3g CSM 4G61 (both NA and Turbo? - I'm assuming they are the same)
I have another starter plate that was sold to me as "1g FWD turbo" but it has 962 stamped on it. Comparing that to the plates in the link above it turns out to be a 2g FWD turbo plate. Very frustrating to say the least. Thanks in advance and sorry to bring up old info. At least this is consolidated info.

I could be wrong but I would think the 4g61 and 4g61t starter plate on the csm's would be slightly different than the 1g dsm fwd turbo ones since the flywheel is slightly larger on the dsm. What #'s should be stamped on the one you need? I have 4 or 5 at my mom's house I believe and I can look through them. Sadly none of them are labeled and I have no idea where I got them.

The 4g61t and 4g63t FWD starter plate are the same. I used the factory 4g61t starter plate with a KM210 and a F5M33 on my car with no issues (with both the stock 4g61t clutch/flywheel and 4g63t clutch with FWD 6-bolt flywheel). The starters themselves are the same between a 4g61t and 4g63t. The automatic starter is a different part number, but I've been told they are interchangeable regardless. Hope that helps.

That's the issue I have right now. I only know the numbers for the 1g AWD M/T plate (141) and the 2g FWD turbo M/T plate (962). That said, it appears that the numbers stamped on the plates are the last three numbers of the Mitsu part number. In that case, I'd be looking for a plate that has 892 stamped on it, which would be from a 1g FWD turbo. I'm not sure what is stamped on the 4g61 or 4g61t plates. I don't have CAPS handy right now but someone might be able to look up the part numbers.

I'll look through the ones I have next time I'm up that way. At least I could eliminate the #'s you know are incorrect. I will say that the 1g awd autos use the manual transmission starter for sure. I replaced one on an awd auto I had back in the day and they kept giving me the wrong one at the parts store.

I can check on CAPS later and get actual part numbers
