My set-up: Gvr4 calipers and rotors with stock CSM hubs machined down, also using +20 16x8 wheels not sure if they have an effect on alignment but thought I'd mention it, the wheel set-up is all I have atm to clear the calipers so it is temporary. Those are the only changes made to the car.

Issue: about 2* toe out on both sides. I took it for a drive and it handled like poop, so I got it home and noticed both wheels had toe out, I loosened and re torqued the axle nuts but didn't get any improvement, any ideas? Do I just need a simple alignment or did I eff something up? I did not touch the tie-rods.

I didn't have any problems with mine, Should have widened the car about 5mm per side.

That is very strange, because you have stock hubs/knuckles. Were these the original knuckles that came off the car? Turbo or NA, the knuckles are the same parts on 89-92 CSM's from what I know. Tie rods went in the correct sides, top or bottom into the knuckle ??

The hubs came off the car but they were actually different you can see them on my build thread, one had the 4 large cut outs and one was circular towards the inner pretty weird but I don't think it would effect anything if I mixed them up. Tie rods are proper and I'm thinking about adjusting them myself then going to get a professional alignment. I checked for knuckle play and both sides are very minimal actually pretty good for 213k. Im just worried about getting an alignment done and having it just bandaid a bigger issue.

I didn't remove the knuckle.

Not sure what you mean by this.
What kind of play were you checking for?
Ball joint? Tie rod outer? Tie rod inner?

I checked the whole build thread and there were no actual pictures of the knuckles from the inside/fender well views.

I never touched the knuckles so I didn't take any pics. Only took pics of the hubs, which the left was different from the right in terms of design. I checked for ball joint and wheel bearing play, both very minimal.

Ah, okay the back cut I guess you could say, from what would have been a circular hub surface. No reason anything should have changed, nor could it.

The toe should not be changed by installing longer studs, rotors outboard of the hubs, etc, assuming ride height was not changed. If ride height was changed, where the knuckle moves, then everything at static height will move around some. Adjust those tie rods and take'er in for an alignment. 8)

You didn't affect the alignment by replacing hubs calipers and rotors. What other work did you do?

I put a DSM tranny in.

Thanks guys, I'll have alignment done and see what happens.
