 Post subject: turbo outlet pipe

whould a 1g turbo outlet pipe fit on our car and be any kind of an upgrade? I'm no actually looking for an upgrade i just need to know what fits cause i need a new one.

YOu can use it, if your still using the stock 11b then you will need to plug the vaccume line, it is also at a different angel.

The opening of the 1g outlet elbow is offset opposite of the 4g61t elbow compared to the mounting bolts. If you bolt it on chances are you'll only be able to make a few pounds of boost because the air is hitting a severe lip as it enters the elbow and makes for a huge restriction.

And more than likey it will be pointed right towards the cooling fan as well.

uh huh, ok i guess i'll stick and try to fix mine. see my problem was when i mounted my smic i used the turbo outlet pipe as the lower intercooler pipe. but it stuck to high up in the air so i shoved a 1 1/5" o.d. pipe in it and bent it down. well when i did apparently i actually bent the flange to the point where it was pulled away from the compressor housing. that is where my leak has been coming from.
