After turning over the engine I get an engine light.

Ecmlink tells me fuel pump and knock sensor.

I might have a reasonable excuse for the fuel pump code - I've hard wire the fuel pump power to switch on with ignition onto the MPI relay since I'm using an 4g61na loom. Though I'm not sure if this would bring up an error code. Never the less I can disable it.

A for the knock code. Its a knock new sensor. I do have a few minor boost leaks (planning to fix) but doesn't free boost buts holds it within a couple psi set. My vacuum on idle is pretty bad just over -10 so my question is would this create a knock code?

Vacuum shouldn't affect the knock sensor. Make sure the sensor is tight but not too tight, they're picky if they're not put in exactly right.

Actually registering knock will not set a knock sensor code. If it has a knock sensor code the ECU either doesn't see input from the sensor at all or the sensor is not grounded. You say you have a non-turbo harness, how did you wire in the knock sensor? The knock sensor wire should be shielded and the sensor has to be grounded or it will set a code.

My previous conversion I used a 4g63t loom but after this recent conversion that loom was a mess. So i ended up just taking the necessary wires and just adding them in.

It was shielded all the way except 30cm from the actually sensor where i've solder the new one on. On the ecu side I've joined the shield with the ground wires.
