Post subject:  ISC Driver blow again!

Hi All,

I have a 91-94 ECU on a 89 Colt turbo harness with 91-94 type of TB with a new ISC from DSMISC that test OK!

My ECU driver IC107 blow again. My wiring is connect like this (diagram from 91-94 manual shop) :

58 Blue(L) wire to pin 1 ISC
59 Yellow wire to pin 3 ISC
67 White wire to pin 6 ISC
68 Black wire to pin 4 ISC

But if I check the diagram from a manual shop of 89 Colt turbo the wiring is as follow:

58 Blue(L) wire to pin 1 ISC
59 Yellow wire to pin 3 ISC
67 White wire to pin 4 ISC (Instead of 6)
68 Black wire to pin 6 ISC (Instead of 4)

So which of these manual tell the truth? How should I wire my harness?

Could someone tell me the color of the wire at the ecu harness for pin 58-59, 67-68?
And the color of wire at the ISC 1-3, 4-6? With the model/year of is harness?

More than likley your ISC motor on your throttlebody is blowing the ECU driver...

Change the ISC motor on the throttlebody

yea apparently it's like an infectious disease. The ISC will kill the ecu, and a ecu will kill an ISC; making it hard to tech issues.

Your electronics on the 89 turbo colt are the same as a 1990 dsm, and the pins may have changed with 91+ models. The manual for the 89' should be correct.

Ditch the isc with a full fiav blockoff plate and adjust idle with the bypass screw. I've never had a problem after doing the plate and no more coolant lines or idle issues due to the isc.

At what rpm did you set your idle?

For the warm season, I turn it down as far as it'll go before it stumbles, then add 100 rpm to it. Ends up around 7-800rpm for idle. When it gets cold out (winter), I crank it up to around 900-1000.
