So I rebuilt my throttle body with new shaft seals and I can hear air in the valve cover. Can I put a check valve in my pcv line and my brake booster line? Im going to be maxing this 16g out so I need to hold 30psi or so. All the auto parts stores dont sell the right size check valves. What are you guys doing to hold high boost?

That little engine likely has blowby. Did you try to turn the motor to top dead center and do your test? We boost leak tested mine last week and had to play with it a little to get all the valves closed. I still had air in the crankcase, but it stopped coming out my exhaust.

You stock brake booster line should have a check valve in it from the factory.

I would not worry too much. You can always to a scavenging catch can and that will help. I highly recommend that anyway.

I believe the pcv valve is leaking. With the oil cap on mad air comes out of the breather line. I ordered a few check valves from us plastics they are supposed to be good to 150psi. I just want to make sure im ot leaking boost into the brake booster and valve cover. I think the check vaves are the ticket

Keeping that pressure in the motor is a bad thing. You want it out. A vacuum pump or scavenging system is the best approach here.

Ive still got the factory intake that sucks air from the valvecover. I think ill be fine

That is just one hole and it is literally like trying to breathe through a straw.

I may add a catch can and increase the breather line size. Ill have to see how it looks when I get this 16g to boost more than 10 psi. My check vlaves will be here Tuesday.

It really needs to be a sealed catch can with a return to the intake. This is the only way to be effective and draw the pressure out correctly.

How did the check valve work for you? I will be running one inline with the pcv valve, I am having some excess vc pressure as well due to a failing pcv and I believe this will do the trick.

For search and info purposes here is good check valve used by DSMers.

The check valves worked good!

just add some ventilation to the valve cover. By ether drilling taping in barbed fittings or have some -10an fittings welded to it.
