Well I have a 1g DSM Aero fuel filter kit with -6 lines, it also has a Earls hard line adapter that looks similar to the ones pictured, I will let you guys know how it works out.

UPDATE: The DSM fuel kit fitting/adapter (earls) does not have an inverted flare seat so it doesn't look like it will seal properly, I'm not even going to try it. As stated before the inverted flare seat is the best way to go, I'll link the proper fittings again..

I use Earls 9894DBHERL Female 14x1.5 saginaw to convert from the sending unit hard line right on the tank to -6.

The only part of the fitting designed to hold fluid pressure is the tapered seat for the hard line to mate to.
Doing it any other way is, IMHO, asking for trouble. $30 plus shipping or potential fuel leak. :-?
Again, keep in mind your security with a potential fuel leak...

So an adapter with the inverted flare seat is the fail proof way to go(designed specifically for the use with hard fuel lines).

Adapters such as the Earls are a flat seat design and are not proper for hard fuel lines but have been proven to work.

Well, I finally attack this piece in my garage. I can understand that parts is not the best. It's fits well, but (like few dudes already says) did not seat properly. The "lips" inside the fitting are similar, but not exactly the same. Infact, the "bleu fitting" cannot be bolted deep enough.

As you see, I had a "good time" to removed the fitting from the assembly line / original rubber... ;)

I'm not using that fitting at that location which might explain the difference. I have a GVR4 fuel tank and sending unit and I use that blue fitting right on the tank. The fitting on the sending unit spins freely on the tube almost like a brake line fitting.

It looks like that line and end pictured is a solid fitting.
