Does anybody know about this 11.5lbs flywheel? It looks like the No Name flywheel that RRE sells.
I am going to start my 1.5 auto to 4g63T 5-spd conversion and am getting a list together.

Thanks,
Joe

F1 Racing has been around for a while now. Never heard anything good or bad about their stuff. But if it was my money, I would feel more comfortable spending it on a well known part like a Fidenza or a Jun flywheel.

That flywheel will perform just as well as a "name brand" piece. If you are worried about longevity or quality I am sure you can find a quality piece for $150 or less used.

I had a F1 Racing chromoly flywheel on my Mirage and had no problems with it at all. I don't remember the cost, but mine was black instead of silver (probably no difference other than color). I went with the chromoly instead of aluminum (Fidanza) so I would have a little more rotating mass on the end of the crank and that it could be refinished rather than having to buy a replacement contact surface.

I don't think you will go wrong with it.

Thanks for the response; the rotating mass of OEM at 19 to, 11.5 from F1 vs 9 from Fidanza, and replacing the surface were concerns for me. I looked at various sites where the F1 flywheel was discussed and nothing but good comments were made.
