Just grab a 1.6L compressor or one from a 89-92 Galant. All of the other parts are the same as far as I know. Did your car come with AC? I'm assuming its a 1.5L car?

Mine has A/C. I don't recall having to do anything special. I just left it in the car and swapped the engine.

Maybe with some fab work on the lines but no, the csm lines won't bolt up. I believe the 1.5L compressor is the same but uses a different pulley. Natedog has a thread somewhere on here explaining how he swapped the pulley over. I do know for a fact that the 89-92 galant compressor is the same as the one that comes on the 89 1.6L turbo cars.

The 1.5 and 1.6 compressor is the same part, just swap the pulley. It's like 6 or 8 bolts and it slides right off.

Later model Galant 1992 I believe has the tensioner you need to re-install AC on the 1.6L to 2.0L swap; if yours has gone missing or was not there when you bought the C53a 4g61t swapped with a 4g63.
If the car was a C53a that is factory AC equipped and you install a 2.0L, swap over all the AC parts and they will bolt on. Do not try and use the 2.0L brackets for the compressor.
Compressors being the same between the Galant VR4/NA from 89-92 and CSM 1.5/1.6L with the only difference being pulleys is gold right now. You can source used AC compressors on the www.galantvr4.org site quite frequently, here as well, and rockauto.com, just to name a few places of opportunity.
