what are you guys using if anything to block boost from getting into the brake booster?

i have yet to find a suitable check valve for 3/8ths hose.

I don't know of many people adding it, but I could be very wrong.
Not many posts about this one, but I remember a discussion some time back.
Any brake booster hose with a valve from a turbo DSM/GVR4/VR4 of similar vintage should be the same thing.

From what ive seen, these hoses have a white plastic tube in the middle of the hose but it isnt a valve, more like a t~fitting. The boosters temselves have a check valve but I'm on an elantra booster now and who knows if they really seal, I don't need to blow the diaphragm on a run or be knocking from a hidden boost leak.

i ended up buying a check valve from a supra. i got it from a yota dealership as you cant get them from az or other parts stores looks like:

Image

i actually popped my booster diaphragm two days ago when i spiked 30psi, got this today and im about to try it out, the part number is:

44730-2402

it runs as much as 50$ from the stealership but its a tough lil piece and its not worth it having a 20yr old internal valve blow up during a run when you might need your brakes right quick.

also my elantra booster came with NO internal check valve and on the older colt gt booster i had, the valve was sticky and didnt work quickly causing an intermittent boost leak and often no power assist after a few gears of WOT. sofor the guys who dont already have good brakes or looking to upgrade to the elantra stuff, id just add this part or something similar to your list.

also i tried a dsm pcv valve for awhille, it didnt work, just fyi.

That is not only a boost leak-but it will hinder the performance of your booster.

Same issue 6Bolt is/was having

That part # is a C53a cyborg brake booster valve.

MB277029

Likely the same part for all the turbo cars with that size hose from the brake booster to the intake manifolds.

The best valves you can buy for these applications are the US plastics check valves. I always run these as even new OEM ones leak. Simply run this inline. brake booster, PCV, catch cans ect. http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=23369
