I have the dsm flywheel with Stock 1g AWD presure plate and 3000 GTSL disk. The clutch engages near the end of the pivot fork travel. If I adjust the clutch pedal to catch were I like it I can't even fully depress the pedal to the floor. I supsect this is going to cause premature slave/master cyl. failure. I rember someone mentioning shimming the pivot ball. I take it remove ball and put washer under it? Has anyone done this? I would like to use the right thickness the first try. Greg

I have never used the washer fix. Everytime I replace a clutch, I buy a new release fork and pivot ball.

So you think it is just worn parts? Shouldn't it have done this with the old clutch to. If they can wear they probably are worn(194k miles). Mabbe new parts plus washer? Thanks for any input. Greg

When did you first experience this problem. Did you just do a clutch change? Did you have your flywheel resurfaced? Is it a new flywheel, PP, and disk?

It started as soon as I replaced the clutch/flywheel. Used flywheel resurfaced to .610. The clutch is new. I can see the pivot arm moving all the way against the trans now that I adjusted the pedal. It does not seem like a slave/master cyl problem. But who knows. At least it isn't slipping anymore. Greg

I installed the new fork and ball with a 1/16th inch thick washer underneath. Works correctly now. Greg
