| Post subject: | Replaced ECU Caps, Now have high idle... |
Hi Guys! I replaced the 3 caps, now my idle is oscilating between 1000 - 1800 RPMs after 15 minutes of driving. But when I restart the car, the idle stays at 700 RPMs. Also, I have to turn the ignition key on and off 6 times and then crank the engine to start it because I still have the clicking noise. My idle did not oscilate until I replaced the caps. What else could be affecting it? Did I wait too long to replace the caps (car has 36k miles)? Is my ECU unrepairable? Thanks, Ron |

Solder looks OK. I did notice that the 47µF cap leaked alot and the copper pads underneath it was heavily oxidized and was turning black. |
