i know the answer to that question, its called e-bay, and so far every thing i have gottn from there is crap. so,what now? my oil pump, a ebay specal, well lets just say that tolorences are not that close, and the stub shaft, the other ebay part that saved me all of 15 bucks, well it to was not to spec, and now, i have a compleatly desasembled motor in my garage, the colprit, no oil feed to the stub shaft, it dryed up, and froze, cauzing my motor to just, STOP.. well lucky me my car was in front of my house at idle, around 800 rpm when it died, and i have found almost no problems any where else. however, in light of yet another set back, im going to have the motor compleatly rebuilt, right, this time, using only oem, and or high quality after market parts. im going to have the block reworked this time, and have it bored. its not in that bad of shape, the compression was ok befor but why settle for ok, lets go for wonderfull.

I didn't know you could get an aftermarket oil pump for these engines. Scary considered what can already go wrong with oem parts in less that stellar condition or when they are revved to the moon and back.

yes, my post was a warning to all would be motor builders out there. you can read the books, study the manuals, but if you skimp on parts you will know. take it from me. i have waisted easy 500 bucks on cheap parts. oem would have been cheaper at this point and i would still be driving my car........unless it says its oem dont buy from ebay... spend the money on good parts, please......

I have to say the intercoolers/piping from ebay is pretty good. but yea I would check with the seller to see if it is a namebrand part before you buy it if it isn't a intercooler or pipe. especially with dsmlink and turbos.
