I'm sure you noticed lately that i have had trouble with my car having a vacuum, well i found it. see my problem was when i mounted my smic i used the turbo outlet pipe as part of the lower intercooler pipe. but it stuck to high up in the air so i shoved a 1 1/5" o.d. pipe in it and bent it down. well when i did that it apparently bent the flange to the point where it was pulled away from the compressor housing. that is where my leak has been coming from. it is very bent i am suprised i was making any boost at all. any way it was pulled about an 1/8" away. Thats a pretty big gap. any way i stuck the thing on the top of a vice and beat it flat again, stuck it on my car and it drives fine. still falls off to like 7lbs arrounf 5500rpm but i guess thats the gasket, it was blown, i need to make one. But that was my problem, i found it using the leak tester that you can read about at www.vfaq.com the best site arround in imo. welp just thought i'd share my story with you guys so know one does the same thing i did and spend weeks driving themselves crazy trying to figure it out. but hey!, i fixed it and its time to move on to another mod, up next a 14b turbo and 3" exhaust.
