I have no idea what the problem is but i use about 20L per 100km on a stock motor. I have a datalogger now so any things to look for would be great.

Wow that's crazy... On my recently rebuilt 4g63t, I’ve been managing during highway driving, with the occasional 5 gear flat to the floor, between 8-10L per 100kms. How are ya plugs?

yeah, doesn't the maf read something that's in the negative 20's when it dies? either that or i'm thinking of some other sensor. i'm sure it's on here somewhere, but i'm at work and too busy to search.

I'd definitely say it was the MAF, I remember when I forgot to plug my MAF in and drove around like that for a week...terrible.

i have the same problem as him and I replaced my MAF and it still does it so I have no idea what it is. I'm thinking the o2 sensor maybe? I also replaced the ECU, injectors, fuel filter, fuel pump, air filter, spark plugs, wires, and just about everything else you can think of. The o2 sensor is all I got left.
