I want to install my DSM sidemount and use the Talon intake hose, to get rid of the stock intake hose. I also didn't want to have to relocate the battery to the back of the car. The Galant VR-4 guys used to have a tray custom made by one of the list memebrs, that allowed you to use a Black Panther Dry cell battery in the factory MAS location. I've been thinking about using this battery http://www.performancedistributors.com/batteries.htm and having a tray of some kind fabricated for my Mirage. This way I could get the battery out of the way, relocate the intake hose/MAS and get a clear unobstructed path for my I/C piping. I know the battery costs a lot more than buying a relocation kit, but I would rather keep the battery up front if at all possible.

Try this:

It's not quite as small as the one that you mentioned or as light but it's half the price, plus they have free shipping.

I've been using one in my mirage for several months now.

Hmm another possibility, sweet. Dry cell and half the price too. Do you have the dimensions handy? I was thinking about laying it on it's back or front to take up the space where the MAS goes. Underhood clearnace might be a bit tight. How did you mount yours? In the stocx location? Do you have any pics of the install?

The battery is

8" long, 5" wide, and 7" tall.

I installed it in the hatch of my car, so pictures wouldn't do you much good, but I can find them if you still want to see it.
