Looks like your hydraulic lash adjusters are a bit gunked up. Try a different weight or brand of oil and look if it goes away. If it only makes that clicking when cold, and it doesn't become worse, you shouldn't worry about it.

Where the Helligkeit does a 4G61 RS engine came out of? :o

eemm hydraulic lash adjusters ??where are these thing located?? by the way,, the 4g61t RS usually use a different kind of intake manifold not the CYCLONE IM but the ECI MULTI IM.. bcause here in malaysia the 61t halfcut came with two different type of engines...that i believe to be the RS and non RS version...

The lash adjusters are inside the cylinder head.

In there

Look at the last picture. The left side still has the rockers on and the right side has them removed exposing my nice new liifters

Must.........get.........new...........lifters.......this.........ticking.........is........driving..........me............crazy............every............morning.

My Lantra's 4G67 does the same damn thing, although it has gotten quite bad where it ticks for a good 5-10 minutes driving on a cold morning. Letting the engine warm up before driving just makes it worse :( Engine oil flush has made it better but I just need to bite the bullet and get some new 3G lifters with the larger oil hole. Problem is they are expensive here in AU and there are 16 of them.

If I hadn't needed mine I would sell them to you, but send Hybrid Connection a shout, or better yet call them. They did a group buy on this stuff and shipping for such a small box shouldb't be too bad. I would suggest having Hybrid send the goods directly from their end though and not the manufacturer (we had a little trouble their with the paperwork at customs). Food for thought.
*EDIT* Just received my government money back! UPS will get to hear why they must pay me back now.

emmm i C..i am using semi-synth 15W-40 oil ,,every morning i start the engine, it ticks in about a minute...when the engine warmed up a little, the tick disappears ( but if u put your ears closer to the engine, you could hear the tick is still there).

You can try cleaning them w/ ATF or Diesel fuel one by one by soaking them in that stuff.

Thanks for replying....
I lived in a hot climate country ,,, therefore i cant use thinner oil...that is why i have to find other way to solve the problem... i m going to clean all hydraulic lifters and use IDEMITSU 20w 50 oil because my mechanic said that turbo engines are not suitable with thinner oil especially in hot climate country.....
thanks again ethereal
