I'm glad to know all of this now. I was driving to my friend's house, about 120 miles away from home, and the T-joint ??? on the outboard axle completely blew apart. As it sits now, I have only drove it 140 miles since buying it back in March. It's good to be a part of this club during a hard time, when it comes to finding information quickly. Thanks, especially, to all the people who've gone through hell fixing things through trial and error.

Ordered mine online from Cardone's website and both sides fit perfect! Although i havent gotten it on the road yet but assembly was no issues. Drivers Side part # = 60-3040 Passengers Side part # = 60-3177 both plugged in nicely to a 91 FWD turbo DSM tranny and were the right length and plugged into the Big Brake non-captive front hub setup fine. I did not try to see if they plugged into the stock 1.5L front hubs. I can get pics if anyone would like them. |

^^^^So you're saying both axles were one piece axles? No intermediate shaft? |

If the D/S axle is only one piece with no intermediate shaft that bolts to the block its not a turbo axle. Remember the 1.5 axles will fit but they won't snap all the way in the tranny, make sure you didn't get those.

They are all showing as 1.5L axles. Are you sure the snap ring is catching in the tranny? In other words if you pull on it will it just slide right back out? |

Sorry for my english first of all, .... I own a colt 92 with a 4g63 and fwd talon transmission, I just broke for the third time what we call in french " cardan", I think i am in the right topic for information. Last time i broke thoses my local couldnt find anything that fits , so i had to custom made my axle wich cost me 150$ CAN, If i try one of the sites given, Is there someone who knows if it will sure fit ? thank you, from a french and a newb |

I just ordered my Set from Carquest with LIL EVO's original number, they said the numbers have changed but still available i got the RDS 3212 and RDS 3229 numbers, We'll see if they work out! Andrew. |

How did that work out for you? I got one of those back in December, and it was the outer driver side axle. It fit on the intermediate shaft and worked fine, (despite it's flimsy appearance) untill it snapped last week. Napa said they would warranty it no problem, but when the replacement arrived, it was a long, one piece driver side axle. I had them look up the specs for that axle, and they say "Part# 95-8141 / 89 Mirage turbo hatchback, Left axle, and that according to their listing, it's supposed to be that long." (36+ inches IIRC) The first Napa 95-8141 that I got in December, was 21.5 inches long (compressed) with a 26 spline female inner, and a 25 spline male shaft on the outer joint. It worked fine in conjunction with my 91 Talon AWD manual transmission and intermediate shaft FWIW. I've sorta given up on Napa, and I'm currently waiting on a third attempt from Carquest. I'll let you all know how it goes tommorrow. |

RDS 3212 and RDS 3229 at carquest work... I just bought them last week and their working around 550+ WHP! |

We used the same numbers a couple of years ago at Carquest. It took 3 tries until they were correct. There is a method using DSM axle pieces with CSM pieces to develope a turbo CSM half shaft, but you gotta know what you are doing. Turbo CSM intermediate shafts, those beefy SOBs, are about damn near extinct. |

I struck out again today at with the axle that arrived at Carquest. I gave him the 3229 number today, and he said we tried that one the other day. I told him to order all the 3229s available, and with some luck, one will fit |
