did you do anything to the seals on the colt/mirage's hub? The dsm axles have a bigger ring where it keeps the bearing together. |

I personally haven't touched the hub's or seals period. I just went to autozone and got some free axles(I had dsm warranty's) and I installed them, no issues, about 1,200 miles on them now. I did snap an axle already but that wasn't due to improper fitment .

Some picture for you consideration. passenger side axle. left-to-right, 4g63t, g32b, 4g15. Notice the g32b and 4g15 shafts are the same length. For those of you having problems keeping the axel in the transmission and leaks look at the length of the input shaft on the axle. DSM g32b 4g15 The dsm and g32b axle input shaft are the same length, the 4g15 axle is about 5 mm shorter. When I swapped my car I put in the 4g15 shaft and it popped out and leaked. I did get this axle from a g32b 2g csm, (probaly why the car was at the wrecker, it wont hold any tranny fluid, it must have a bad tranny, right?) Anyhow, I measured and installed the g32b axle. This is all on a swapped 3g CSM, with a 2L and a switchable JDM tranny. Im now running the same axels on a fwd km210 from a sonata. The axles work on the km210 as well. Hope this helps some one out there. |

Ok so much info in hear it isnt funny but i think its going to be best to just ask. I have a ca/cb lancer liftback timeattack car with a 2g DSM motor and fwd DSM gearbox. What driveshafts should i use? I have the DSM Inner Joints. My problem is when i load onto the drivers side i get major shudders going on like realy bad. I have the std cb lancer shaft on the drivers side and a cordia long shaft on the other. My location is Australia so the short shaft is on the drivers side. |

Here is some info to sticky I have a full 5 lug swap awd 1989 mirage. turbo csm drivers axle turbo csm pass axle dsm center shaft/ Talon spindles with colt gt struts and ground controls. Camber plates or re-drill is a must. This works ,no leaks and will be proven asap. I tried the colt gt centershaft and it was to short. It would pour trans fluid out. too short. I will post pics as soon as i down load. |
