i am currently awaiting my custom axles from gator.

i have them on my civic and have never once had a problem with them.
my civic breaks parts store axles like twigs.
these gator axles are affordable and work flawlessly.

Well my axles in my GT are clicking around corners... the boots are not ripped open... just clicks on a hard turn under power in a parking lot or such.

I phoned both local parts stores today and gave them the carquest part #'s. and they said that there are NONE availible anywhere.

I used the 410049 and 410059 numbers... they had a listing for one of them.. but like i said before they could not get anything in.

They recommended getting my ones i have now rebuilt by a local shop. Has anyone tried to rebuild there OEM axles?

Hopefully i can get something figured out cuz i dont want to be stranded oneday with a busted axle... and not be able to find one.

Oh i live in British Columbia, Canada.... so i guess its a bit harder to find them then in the US.

I also phoned the carquest number on the original page and the guy sounded really confused when i told him im from Canada and is there any way to get them shipped up here. He said no. They dont ship the axles. There are no "carquest" places up here in canada.

WHAT DO I DO!

Any help on this situation would be apreciated.

Send them to raxles if you can afford the downtime. You have ten other Mitsubishi's to drive.

go to napa. Ask for a half shaft axle for an 88 mirage turbo. The part number is posted here somewhere. It's 'cvs2007' or something is for the driver side half shaft. search.

I don't know the passenger side part number.

Either look it up (it's usually listed as a '88 turbo mirage in parts systems) or have someone in the US buy them and ship them up for you ($$$).

Ill try that other part number for the 88 turbo. See what comes up.

Would fortins have a source for these axles?

Fortins must be local to your region.

Well i did some digging around and i think i found the axles i need up in Canada!

The part numbers are different from what you guys were listing... and i havn't actually seen the axles in person yet... so i cannot confirm it but looking at the stock pictures they look to be the correct ones. The left side axle is short one, fits into the interdiate shaft style. Im praying that these are the right ones cuz they are made by A1 Cardone and are brand new axles, not rebuilt ones.

ANyways heres the #'s.

A1 cardone axles:

60-3040 - Left
60-3177 - Right

Ill let you guys know if those parts numbers work out for me.

It would be nice to have these numbers handy for those of us North of the border. Thank you for posting this up.

wrong numbers... i ordered the axle (drivers side) and it showed up as a long style one... not the right one. DAMNIT... the search for axles continues.

Take it back and say "I need the short one not the long one". They'll send it back and get a replacement. You might have to do this 2-3 times.
