I'm going to check out an engine tomorow and the engine has no flywheel so I can't give the starter juice to turn it over.
I was wondering if I manually turn it over if I'll get the same results.
I'm skeptical because I doubt I can spin it fast enough and I'm thinking some air will leak past the rings and effect the test.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-Dom

Will not be accurate, if produce any reading at all, I have tested motors, and gotten drastically lower numbers when they were crancked slowly.

Hard to make up the 2-400 hundred RPM needed to match the starter. Leakdown test is maybe another indicator for you but travelling compressed air tank and a plentiful one at that is not too practical.
