This car idles kinda low t begin with... but every now and then it will tick really loud and the idle will seem to drop even moer and struggle like crazy to keep running and even die the odd time... when u listen under the hood u can hear the ticking and it sounds like its comming from one of the injectors.. u can even feel it in the fuel rail..... Has anybody had this happen to them? or heard of this before? any comments/ suggestions would be much apprecitaed.... thnx alot guys |

There's normal ticking from the injectors as they open and close but if one of them is really loud, it could be a bad injector. Take something solid (screwdriver) and put one end on an injector and put the other to your ear, one at a time with the car running. Listen for irregularity and/or if one is louder than the others. |

Low and irregular idle will screw up the vaccum. The sound you hear is probably just the PCV valve ratling as it follows the vaccum from the intake manifold. Solve your idle problem and the sound will go away! Try adjusting the BISS screw as per the www.vfaq.com. And you may want to clean your throttle body. Your ICS is working properly? |
