I've got a 3.909 box out of an evo 0 VR4 or RS or whatever we like to call them this week
anyhow, the only rear end I could source for my BANJO SOLID GAY diff in my cyborg is 3.545 so........
I need to change the crown wheel and pinion in my box.
my q is... seen as broken vr4 boxes are nowhere to be found and I'm not paying $650 for a good one from the wreckers, is there any other (GSR gallant FWD??) g/box that I could rape the gears out of??
keep in mind that the transfer is something like 1:1.090 which makes the front gears 3.86:1 or somthing like that. (I beleive that RS's have about 4.1 in the front!?)
anyway HELP!!!!!!!!!!
in summary I need one of the following
broken vr4 box (3.545) or
crown wheel and pinion from same, or
compatible gear set from other box???
