I upgraded to the mirage turbo brakes in front tonight, and all went well, but have a question about the caliper bolts/guide pins. Ive never really worked on this setup when it was put together correctly, because my donor car had this stuff all rigged together with hardware store bolts. Well, I ordered all new brass sleeves and bolts to affix the calipers to the caliper brackets and reassembled everything into reman calipers. This setup is different than what Im used to, but there is a guide pin bolt with a 12mm head on it that can be tightened all the way down, and another guide pin with a 10mm head that recesses into the caliper. This 10mm headed guide pin isnt abled to get tight because I cant get a wrench on it anymore once its started 3 or 4 threads. My caliper is then somewhat loose (well, free to move somewhat)
Maybe Im missing something here, but Im not thinking the caliper should be abled to move like it does.
Im waiting on my camera to charge so I can get a couple pics of whats going on, but if anyone has any tips in the meantime, your help is appreciated.
