for those of you who have had their rear main oil seal leak... do you know if the crankshaft seal journal gasket is the same as that of the gvr4 4g63t?

ohh i forgot to mention that i have a 4g61t.

the reason i ask is because i cant get these parts from local aussie dealerships as they never sold the car in australia (import) ive got the flywheel and everything off, just need the gasket b4 i take anything else off.

if i cant find one im going to have to leave it till next time (i dont think its leaking atm but it would be good to change it whilst everthings out)

Yes, the seal is the same. I had to replace mine when I did the clutch

do you mean the rear main oil seal is the same or the crankshaft seal JOURNAL GASKET is the same? im after the journal gasket.

unfortunately ive jsut spent 6 hours or so putting my flywheel, new clutch and everything back on!

so itll have to wait to next time now

Are you talking about the gasket for the aluminum seal holder thing? It's the same, about 85% of the stuff on our engines *directly* interchanges with the same year 2.0
