As far as T3/T4's go, the T04E 50 trim is probably the best for a 4cyl application. Even though the trim number is higher on a 57 trim, that doesn't make it bigger or better by any means. The 50 trim is easily the most efficient of them all. I would use it with a .63 a/r housing with a 4-bolt outlet, or possibly even a .48 a/r for the 1.6L, and a T3 Stage III exhaust wheel.

Ok I've found a turbo with those specs, it's from turbonetics and supports up to 450hp :) bot wow they sure cost alot haha.. I'll buy it when my motor gets back and I get some extractors then add some pics :)

how do i post pics?

also i dont know if i should rebuild my motor? its done 187xxxkms how long would it last running 26psi?
I neeed to know what gearbox i should run too, id like to keep it fwd, i have a 4g15 gearbox?
Im having trouble with the loom too.. the one that came with the car has 4g15, what do i need to change? I have the 4g61t loom but it only has engine to ecu, nothing else besides fuse boxes... :lol:

Running 26psi makes no difference. It's just a number. If you tune it properly on the right fuel, it will handle 500hp easily, maybe more. It doesn't matter how many miles are on it.

The 4g15 gearbox is only designed to handle about 100hp. I would change it ASAP. Try to find a KM210/F5M31 gearbox. This came on the 4g61t cars.

I was just asking as im not sure what condition it is in, last time i drive it it was blowing black smoke, im not sure what the compression is like either..

Ohk haha i have a km210 from my old one but its Awd, and could use a recondition

I was not aware that the KM210 ever came in an AWD variation. That is strange. You can still use it, you'd just have to weld the center diff.

Awesome thanks CSM Shaun! Yea niether, i just got it as is for $1800 :partyman: Ok the guy i bought it off said that was whit it is. It has lsd marked on the side so i'll just go with it :D ... This build might take a bit longer then i planned but i'll keep it posted. Work is dying down in my industry haha..

I bought a front cut from the wreckers yesterday of a 4g61t. Quite a find for $1000

Pros;

Has 1.8L head
M&H extractors
TD05 not sure yet if its big 16g or small
fmic
450cc injectors
vr4 afm
I think vr4 cams? post pics and nubers tomorrow
and a gizmo chipped vr4 ecu

Cons;

The hose from the waste gate doesnt go to the intake or turbo, it goes into the head?
Numbnuts who ever he is used a radiator hose off the turbo to a fmic pipe..
Pics to come..

I still havent had the chance to properly have a look over everything..

FWD gearbox KF5M222, is this any good?

Will be doing the conversion this weekend.

Would i be able to safely use the 4g15 fuel lines? on 18 psi?

The F5M22 is okay, it'd do for now. The gear ratios are quite short in comparison to a km210. Their not hugely strong either, I've blown two of them so far with mild boost around 15psi, no huge mods besides fuel pump injectors mild tune ecu. Ideally you'd want to run a km210 fwd, they are quite rare to come by over here in nz though, not a huge amount of turbo cyborgs around to snatch one off. Alot of the older Hyundai sonatas use them though, heaps of those around! And I think one older model of the v3000's use them too.

yea where abouts are you? Ive seen a few at pick a part in those HYundai lantras, also the front lips fit on cyborgs too!!!
