hey guys, does anyone out there with aftermarket rear springs know what height their springs were when free (not captured)

mine are 300mm at the moment (unsprung/uncaptive) and im having really bad problems with bumpiness.

im putting in 315mm springs tomorrow, but was wondering what height everyone elses is.

i know height depends on spring rate too, but im after just the spring height when unsprung.

Are you using coilover type springs or progressive springs?

My springs are 7" (178mm) free length and I have to adjust the coilovers to full height and needed to use the stupid "helper" springs to get the car to a height so that the suspension could work. Eventually, I'm going to get a 9" spring.

different spring dpending on many variables have diferent heights, they could be sofet and tighter wound or harder and not wound as tighly, there for u ccan have a spring that is MUCh shorter free and still has the same ride height.

im using a normal setup. ie shock and spring. ive got koni's on the rear and 325 mm whiteline springs now (but it ends up being lower then my 300 mm springs, which were stiffer) the ride is more comfy but im still bottoming out.

i think ill have to cut ddown my bumpstop a little more to give it some more travel. if that doesnt work im going to have to go to a specialist.
