so while I was in Japan I found an Evo 3 in a junkyard, while I took advantage of all I could I was short on time and shipping weight. I am now in the market for evo 2-3 trailing arms since that will make the AWD swap easier than the 1G swap. If you have any for sale please post or pm me please. im located in San Diego.

For my 93 Eagle Summit GTX AWD coupe I swapped some bits for a set of EVO3 trailing arms from a contact in the UK. On receipt I verified (as I suspected) that the shape and control arm points were the same as the FWD 4G trailing arms.

Other options I considered were either:
1a. remanufacturing the original FWD 4G arms with the necessary machined bits to fit the axles. The wheel bearings are the same Timken 511013 used in the Expo AWD. Use the 4x4.50" Expo AWD rear hubs, and redrill for 5x4.50" if desired, along with 1g/2G/Galant 5x4.50" front hubs. If this an option, contact me about getting the EVO3 trailing arm measurements.

1b. Cut the 1G/2G axle stub carriers from the arms, and mod the FWD 4G arms to insert the stub carriers. This would allow for the 1g/2g diff and drive shafts to be used directly.

2. Make jigs of the FWD 4G arms and fabricate new arms and the same machined bits to fit the axles in #1. If there's enough real interest in these, I can make some sets, including professional welding

3. Use the Expo wagon trailing arms, but fit the strut/springs from the 4G. Doable, but also requires a custom fab gas tank and other rather complex weld/fab operations to mount the arms safely.

4. Cut and paste bits of the 1G/2G AWD suspension.

All these options have pros and cons, and the costs and effort are probably about the same for all of them.
