i'm having a problem with my rear. i tryin now to fix the rear. i'm thinking i can swap the lsd out for a dsm/gvr4 one. i know the gear ratio is different, but i wouldnt be changing the ring gear. only the lsd . problem i'm having is the rear is welded. so both wheels are turning at the same time and jumping and binding.. its fine at speed. its the low speed thats doin it. any help would be great

yikes they welded up a E3 rear end!! jeeze its not a offroad truck!!

I think the DSM/ GVR4 LSD are different then the evo LSD's

I *think* that the evo LSD's are mechanical whereas the DSM ones are viscous.

It might be possible to swap them over... but i doubt it.

Early Evos have similar viscous LSD's stock in the rear. I believe the RS models came with clutch pack LSD's though. Check out http://evo123.net/

Yes, and if one of the clutch discs are broken, or if its shimmed to "race" specs, it will be very jerky on low speed turns.
