Hello everyone!
Glad to see this forum added! This is Ryan, owner of Thompson Racing Fabrication. I just thought I'd share with you all a 2.0 Mirage I recently built for a customer, Erik K. The guide for our build was that if any parts were not specifically built for our set up, a custom part would be fabricated. That included all the motor and trans mounts (Car has 97 TSI FWD trans), radiator (in condensor possition), intercooler, all pumbing, seat mounts (EVO 8 seats), etc. So far the cars best time is 11.90 @ 116mph. It's still FWD, and gets 30MPG!
The noteworthy components:
Haltech E6K, and fully custom wireing harness throughout. FP3052 turbo. Fully stock motor (for now). Curb weight with 10 point cage: 2,400lbs.

I'm working on getting a hosting site set up so I can post pictures directly, but for now they'll have to be viewed at this link:

Thanks!
Erik actually won the FWD class :) Got a silly big trophy. Good thing the trophy just says: "1st place" not "1st of two entrants". If it was even that many! LOL, It's been a fun project, and we're pretty proud of it for what it really is, and how much money was invested.

What crossmember did you use that goes under the tranny and has the front/rear mounts on it?

It's FWD so I'm assuming the stock crossmember
