Hey guys, doen any one ever had any chance to work on a n RVR transmission?? I'm doing a newer style transmission (93-99) upgrade on my Mirage and really wanted a Evo III trans but here in PR they're really rare and the closest thing i found was the rvr one. Searched the web and there isn't that much info on her. Some pages says that the tranny is comparable to that of a Evo III but there isn't much evidence to confirm it.

I have a feeling it's the same as a 2g DSM transmission, but I'm not totally sure. The EVO III transmission is more similar to a 1g DSM. Does the RVR transmission have 3 different mounts on the transmission?

If it is a 93+ RVR tranny, then it has the 2G mounts. Essentially (as far as the Auto goes anyway) they are a 1g tranny in a 2g case.

just days ago i scored a w5m33 2 mmzl
i have no clue what is inside, it appears to have 3.55 ratio, 2ga gearing, and it was bolted into a 2gb talon and had a 2gb t case on it.
i dont plan on tearing it apart anytime soon

M the first letter is final drive, mine is 3.55(i think) yours is same
P-m going by the second letter, the p code should mean double synchros, evo 3 gears!
mine is m so who knows what gearset mine has
z must mean open front, mine DEFINATELY has open front
L must mean rvr
