Post subject:  Another wheel question

With my fwd setup, I am running 17x8 +38. Currently they have 245 40 r17 and only scrub a little in the rear. The fenders are all rolled, but not pulled. Once the tires I have are done, 215 40 or 225 40 will replace them to make the overall diameter smaller, and to eliminate the scrubbing. My question is simple, when I install the AWD subframe, will I need higher offset wheels for the rear, or will the smaller tires and the ability for negative camber be enough. I only want to run 1-2 degrees negative in the rear. Please help since my body guy is wanting to fix/pull my fenders tomorrow. I want to tell him how much to take them out.

Good lord, those wheels look HUGE on a CSM. The negative camber from going AWD will definitely help the tires tuck in to the wheel-wells. If you've already rolled the fenders, that should be good enough.

Yes those wheels look a bit big. The hope is with smaller tires they will look more reasonable. I will just roll the fenders and have my body guy fix everything else. Before the AWD setup.
