After searching i just want to make sure I am correct.

Alright my car "89 colt" has a AWD swap from a 91 gsx. So i am under the assumption that any 1g AWD suspension/coilovers will work?
& for the fronts since everything is almost untouched i can just pick up any suspension items for my 89 & it will bolt on correct?

& for tires i plan on just using the stock 1g wheels & running 205's or possibly picking up a set of wheels 15x6 or 15x7 with a -0 or -12 off set & running something a little wider.

Just looking for opinions of what would work best for me. I am currently deployed & am trying to get everything together before i return.

Thanks

If you want to push wider you should be able to get away with 225/50s on a 15x7 but i wouldn't go lower than +32 offset. My future set-up is going to be 205/50s on 15x6.5 +38 I've calculated it out to be fairly flush.

Editing this because I ended up doing 225/50 on 15x7 +34 , rear is flush, front sticks out a tad.

Alright thanks, i thinking of 225's originally but i didn't know how well they would fit & if i would get rubbing problems. I was originally going to run my rx7 wheels but they are 16x7 & +50 offset

The RX7 wheels are actually 16x8"

225/50 might still rub, unless you do some fender-rolling.

+43 on a 15x7.5 rim with 225/50 BFGs:

I had to remove material from the lower rear spring perches and I rub on the trans with tight right turns.

Thanks for the picture, that car looks nice ^ Good to see what they will potentially look like. Assuming its AWD by the 225's all the way around, what did you choose as far as suspension & brakes go

Edit* going to order a custom set of these today http://www.diamondracingwheels.com/inde ... eet-wheels

15x7 or 7.5 & with +40 offset.

Yes, AWD. Stock brakes, stock front suspension (GR2s), and stock rear 1G AWD (GR2s).

I will, I still gotta install my top mount, turbo, wheels, setup the gauges, fuel pump, etc etc. This car is pushing the limits of a "street" car
