long overdue update. this swap is getting there. I hate fuel lines and summit racing ptfe an6 hose fittings, or the hose - not sure; the an8 stuff is nice, but I'm unimpressed with the an6. Anyhow update pictures. I'll get better ones soon.

The gvr4 tank is the one to use flipped 180.

It is flat on top = sheet metal flat trunk

Yeah I couldn't find one of those ggsx tanks here. PnP like to puncture the tanks on all the cars the have. I also didn't want the tank to hang too low at the back. I'm sure I'll hate running that 12 g cell but i like the way it fits from the back of the car. I'm going to run the vent line to the old gas filler door.

I ran an8 fuel feed line to the engine bay. The an6 I'm using to plumb in the stock csm fuel feed line as a return.

I'll have to look at your DVD again; I recall you relocated where the e brake cables mount in the cabin? The awd ones seem long.

I also need to replace some wiring from a fire I had while welding in the first drive shaft mount.

Thanks for the tip. I forgot where I left the ebrake cable brackets for inside the car. Might have to see about a JY run.

More pics, home made 3" exhaust, sorry I only have an IPhone.

No pics on this post.

Went to PnP yesterday. Came home with a nice carpet out of a low Kms 92 sedan, plus some ebrake cable clamps. (why do ppl scarp such a clean shell??). I may go back and cut some rear panels off this car.

Also saw a GGSX there, I looked at the tank and it was punctured 3 places, (a-holes). I'm not comfortable welding gas tanks.

Anyhow I finished the ebrake cable and am almost done with the return fuel line. I will be welding the rear sway bar end line mounts next. I think I will set the car on its wheels to get the proper placement for these mounts.

Update:
  • My extended top hats make the back of the car sit way too high with the stock GGSX struts. I tied a set of 1g AWD AGX's with tein drop springs back there, those along with my top hats make the ride height acceptable. However I think they will bottom out on the upper control arm. For now I will run these with with the AGX's set to stiffy.

Fuel line is done; ordered some chinabay ferules/olives for the summitracing an6 ptfe line. Assembly was much more pleasant.

NOTE TO SELF/others; when using a gls392 pump stop wasting time, and wondering, when there is no flow because you hooked up + cable to the - terminal and vis versa.
Crappy IPhone Pics;

Oscar!

Update. The alternator cable broke and I replaced that with some size 8 welding wire. But I think I toasted the battery when that happened because the car doesn't seem to hold a charge? Perhaps a short somewhere...

Yes there's still snow in Alberta and I'm OK with that because I kill it on the hills.

Too much rear camber, and dirty. There's a lot of rear wheel gap too. I went with the GGSX springs in the back. The Tein lowering springs made the rear control arms ride on the frame rails. The Galant springs are 15.3" long. In the future I may see if I can get a set of DSM rear springs; accroding to the GVR4 forum the DSM rear springs are 13.3" to 14.2". For now its a 4x4.

I'll be running Swede Density. I want to run this car so bad. The benz sucks the gas...

yearly update, car was on the road last summer and will be again this year.

Notable items that needs attentions:

Too loud, I added another resonator and a silencer.
No rear toe adjustment, bolts where rusted in bushing and would not turn. removing those was fun. pics to come.
Needs more tune.

Less notable:
Body panel repair
picked up some sentra GC sleeves and springs, that fit the 1g dsm agx's. I'll try the rears first.
engine mount bushings - I have the parts on a shelf.
Evo 1 rims that need attention
Fog light grill.
..., in a general sense - use the parts from the shelves or sell them.

I wont get to most of these anytime soon.

The bad is out. Rusted with no adjustment. It was cutting disk fun! I tried MAP gas to heat up the collar but that just toasted the bushing. These had to come out one way or another.

The good. Pricey though

They do work. However the ebrake handle needs to be pulled much higher.

I started the car again. changed the oil. ECU is now on the latest SwD (speed density) release.

I also noted that there is coolant dripping from the timing side of the motor. Could this be the water pump?

Weep hole is on the side, may be visible from the side of the cover.
That is the only coolant related orifice on that side of the motor IIRC.
