Who's tried a 2g tank on their awd swap? It's a saddle type tank right, thoughts? TIA.

Where would you put it? Are you using a 2g rear frame too? There's definitely no room for one in my car.

Well on a 2g it goes under the rear seat. I was considering putting it the same place on my sedan, where the old fwd tank was, under the rear seat. Im using the 1g awd subframe.

I don't know how much room is left with a sedan, but the boomerang takes up that area pretty completely in my hatch.

Thanks for the picture. I'll have to go a different route I guess. People on the internet seem to have generally low opinions of the 2g awd tank. Do you have a picture showing how low that 1g awd tank hangs?

Would you cosider mounting the stock csm tank back there?

The csm tank occupies the space where the FIRST section of driveshaft resides as it exits the rear diff. You cannot use it

Yeah I'll stick with the 1g tank. It's the hump I don't like but using one simplifies the fuel pump and level sender so much. A cell would be overly complicated for a street car.

Is this wheel too far forward? Should I put the rear subframe and axle 1/2" further back? This is on a sedan and I'm not planning on shortening the drive shaft.

It's tacked in now. I'll be swapping an awd tranny next to set up the driveshaft.

Im not 100% sure on this but my buddy told me that some people were using the vista and expo tanks. I never really verified it though.

I picked up a fuel cell. I also have a 1g awd tank. I'll probably go with the cell.

Any comments on the rear axle placement? Too far forward? These are16"x7" rims with a 38 offset. The tire is 195/50. I measured from the tire to the lower lip of the fender. It was 2" at the front and more than 3" at the back.

When I initially tacked up my rear, it was in the same exact position as yours. Though it won't affect anything I moved the subframe back so the wheel was centered up. I couldn't stand it looking like that at all.

Your wheels look like they are in the correct spot. I used the stock csm fuel tank with my swap, just built a custom rear mount and filler neck.

Thanks, I'll be swapping out the FWD transmission next and sizing up the drive shaft. Then I'll see about getting the rear back a bit. I had to dent the rear floor some because the boomerang hit it.

Was your swap on a hatch?

Yes this is was on hatch, I guess you may have no choice though with using the stock driveshaft lengths.
