Or just relocate the gas door and filler to the driver's side. You're a body man, you can handle it. :P

Yeah right, that's funny. The whole inner wheelwell is different, and I have enough to do.

Ps, Bodywork is more of a hobby than a profession for me. I got away from doing it for customers; I want too much money.

Looks goog, the only thing I see is that your rear shock extensions are going to fold back & forth like a hinge, Its a double flex joint, needs to be solid.....

Dude this thing is awesome, looks like it was meant that way,lol. ++ on the work :wink:

Now I'm curious if the fwd rear shocks are longer, why won't you use them for the rear seeing that you need a extension anyways?

Yes I plan to weld those to my trailing arms when I decide I'm satisfied with ride height etc.

Those are the FWD shocks. They originally mout to the swingarm on the centerline of the axle, directly behind the wheelbearing. On the DSM trailing arm, the mounts are a little lower than the centerline of the axle, so that's part of the reason. The other part is, the DSM shocks mount at an angle, and have a different size hole in the bushing. The brackets rectify all three of those differences.

I should have the right amount of shock articulation, and I'm hoping fine ride height adjustments can be solved by spring selection.

I can't wait to have it all seam sealed and undercoated. :rock:

Coltsfan, If you could- could you get a mesurment from the center of the front u-joint at the transfer case to the center of the u-joint at the rear ? Thinking it should be about 66 inches ??

I'll do that when I get my fuel lines all bent, and put the rear end in again, but it may be a few days or so because I'm not planning on doing anything with it this weekend. I told my 4 month old daughter that I would hang out with her all weekend.

I have a 20mm swaybar from a 1989 Eagle Summit 1.6 N/A sedan with a hydro five speed and four wheel disk brakes. As far as I can tell, it's the same swaybar that's in a turbo model. I've asked a few people with original turbo cars to show their swaybars, but so far I've had no results.

I found a picture of one of Mirage91's cars where you can see the base model sway bar would present the same problem:

Base 1.5L model swaybars are the same shape as the C53a turbo, C62a sedans, and Elantra 20mm upgrade. Same space just a little bit thicker than the 15mm solid piece the base model gets.
