I'm tim, don't really post just lurk on my blackberry typically.

Nehow,

Just have a question about some colt into.

I'm interested in building one I'm currently building a 4g63 and have a awd dsm to put it un but more interested in putting it in something smaller. I am not interested in fwd though.

My question is, if there is a how to or faqs on converting to awd.

I don't care about how much work it is or how much money it costs. Not to be a dick or anything just no point in the comments. I'm seasoned enough in dsm to know rougly what it takes.

I have quite a bit of fabrication skill and work as an aircraft mechanic. So I'm fabricating something on a daily basis typically.

Never the less direction would deffinalty help the process.

Thanks guys
Tim

Welcome to the forum, please put a location in your profile.

There is no FAQ for the AWD swap. Everyone does it differently. It really comes down to your fabrication abilities, or the fabrication abilities of whomever is doing the work for you. There is an AWD section of the forum. People have posted their build pics on there. My best advice to you is to study them as best as you can, read through the threads, and go for it. If you're as seasoned of a DSM guy as you say you are, the rest should come naturally.

You can also buy a dvd from Jason (Lilevo) as there are a ton of helpful tips and shortcuts on there. Welcome to the forum!

^ I was going to say the exact same thing. Jason's DVD gives you a step by step instruction on what you need and have to do in order to convert your Colt to AWD. You should contact him and scoop that up. It's a really helpful tool from what I hear.

Go into your messages and into your inbox. Click compose message and in the names box put lilevo and hit add. Then just send him a private message and ask him for a copy of his DVD. I'm not sure how much he charges for it but I'm sure he'll be more than happy to help you out. Jason's a really good guy.
