i have looked around and cant find much info. so i was just asking what you all think is the best thing to do for my clutch mast. i have a awd trans 1990 new slave, and good lines. but the master is still stock mirage. what should i use? please any help would be great

Leave it or get a stock DSM one, I haven't seen any aftermarket master or slave yet, if someone has please enlighten me :wink:

well the stock one is weak. it feels like i am not getting the full stroke on my slave, my clutch wont let go unless i push all the way down to the floor.
any good ideas?
do you think the dsm talon master will work better

Sounds like your master cylinder is bad or out of adjustment or you need to bleed the system.

If you do need a new master, I recently bought a new one from Napa. They have one for about $35. It's made to fit a Turbo Mirage/Colt, but they are adjustable.

Besides CSM, DSM, they all use the same clutch fork and slave. I have a turbo DSM AWD transmission and clutch in mine and it works fine once all the air is out and it's adjusted right. Word of advise, bleed it extra, mine took two tries before it was bled properly. The second time around I bled three reservoirs through it.

thanks for the help. i got the new master and bleed it a few tims just in case. and it works great now. thanks for the help guys.

I know the 92 talon and 90 colt have the same master cylinders.

sounds like you need an adjustment..or a longer clutch rod
