I'm about to finally physically start my awd swap but im gathering the few remaining partsi need, and i was wondering....can you use 1g awd hubs and knuckles with the elantra control arms? i searched but i did not see anyone specifically saying fwd or awd. Also how hard is it to get a 1g awd crossmember to work with the swap ?

Yes, I have put the DSM hubs on my excel and they were fine, fits like a glove. and the elantra is the same.

I forgot to mention it's an 89 Colt gt. Saw posts on swap to to 5 lug using 1g knuckle/hubs/brakes, but didn't find out whether fwd or awd was used. Getting rear subframe/rear assembly shortly so I need to know so we can get front stuff off the 1g also. I will be posting my fwd parts for sale soon and looking for elantra control arms for the swap.
