I feel like every other time I come here there is someone else starting or finishing an AWD swap. Some folks have done multiple swaps. I've lost track of how many I've seen, which have been sold off, which have been wrecked, etc. I was wondering if we could put together a (possibly sticky) list/compedium of all of the cars, with basic details about each (nothing too detailed, I don't want to cut into Jasons market). You know stuff like 2 traverse motor mounts or the north/south cross member, Ford rear or Mitsu, and current stage of completion. Maybe come back and update it (edit the post as opposed to posting again maybe, keep that dictionary feel?) as the car progresses?

I'll go first:

Builder: Poorboychevelle
Body: 91 Colt Hatch "E" Base model
Motor/Trans: 6 bolt and 5 speed from Talon
Rear: 4 bolt from Talon
Motor mounts: 2 traverse
Percentage complete: 10% (and it will stay that way until it stopped being single digits outside)

P.S. - Jason, I am still debating buying the DVD, me engineering degree is demanding that I try and do it alone first, but I have a feeling I will get frustrated with trying to figure out the little details and you will be hearing from me hahaha.

Off the top of my head I can think of at least 8 cars that are completed and running/driving. Unfortunately, I'm way too lazy to go back and find all of their build threads.

1.) LILEVO, 4dr. sedan
2.) dan, AWD Colt done by M&S Recycling
3,) ColtGT4g63, AWD Colt built by himself, sold to someone else
4.) colt200, Canadian-style AWD Colt
5.) GSXtreme, AWD Mirage Turbo, very nice swap
6.) unknown dude who did the swap in a '92 Mirage sedan
7.) Red Sleeper, AWD Colt done by himself, currently for sale
8.) SpinMasta11, AWD Colt, but he's never posted pictures

I am probably forgetting someone in there. For every car that's been completed, there are probably two that are still in the works. AdamRX7 is an example of a swap that's been several years in the making.

Ohh yeah, how could I forget gsx's car? Probably the best example of an AWD CSM out there. A lot different than the way most people do the swap though.

There is not much special about my "Canadian style" colt, not like I run chains on the tires during the winter..... hmm :-k maybe it will have enough traction then.

There is another one a few hours from me,
pimpy rider, AWD Colt, stock motor and tranny, 5 lug rims

I forgot about pimpy rider. I know quik gt from Utah was in the process of doing the swap, not sure if he finished it yet though.

You should at least try to find a DSM 3-bolt so you can have an LSD rear-end. None of the GVR4's had LSD in the rear.

I was unaware, I have a buddy selling 2 3-bolt dsm rear ends I'll have to go pick those up.

Just make sure they're not out of a '91 DSM with ABS, because those cars did not have LSD's. It should say on the pumpkin that it has an LSD.

Complete thread hijack in motion, but hey, more info the better.

And GSX has had 2, the black ladder bar car and the green 4 link car (it may have been the other way around)
Little evo has done 2 so far, going on 3?

So that is atleast 12 completed swaps, plus I wager a few we have left out (That one that the budget was 1000$, did we include that?), and I think 5-6 in motion?
