Come to an intersection where i cant figure out how to get the gearbox out without taking off that cross member and having to drop the whole engine because they are connected to it..

Any tips??

Yeah post up some pics, lots of pics, especially of that cross member. Take lots of pics of the rear under side too, for us. You can sign up in the gallery and put the picture there.

You may be able to drop it without removing the engine. To do that you'll need to support the engine with a floor jack and a block of wood on the oil pan. Two roll stops mount onto that cross member and you'll also need to remove that tranny mount. With those three removed, that will leave only one mount on the engine. Then you can drop the tranny out the bottom. If there is not enough room to back the tranny off, (i.e. it hits the frame rail) try lowering the floor jack a little, this will drop the engine/tranny enough for the tranny to clear the frame rail on the passenger side.

Or you can just pull the entire engine tranny at once. Are you stripping the car to rebuild it or for parts?

You'll also need to put your location in your profile, as per forum rules, and so we can help you out better.
