Well, guys i recently completed the AWD swap in my Colt. Today I tested it, the car was showing resistance to motion. Any idea what might have gone wrong?????!!!!!!

For your info. im using an engine and tranny from a JDM 91+ Galant Vr4 RS, not sure about the rear diff, but it is a 3 bolt with LSD and rear wheel steering.

Help me out the swap is getting on my nerves now

If it's a US rear-end in the car, you will have problems with that Galant VR4 RS tranny you're using. The ratio in the rear-end is wrong, this causes the viscous coupler inside the tranny to heat up and eventually your tires will lock up. You either need to put a US transmission in the car, or use a JDM rear-end (good luck finding one of those.)

I m sure the rear end is from JDM spec galant, coz I imported it from Malaysia.

By the way is there any way to detect what spec rear diff im using?????

Not without taking the diff apart and counting the number of teeth on the pinion and ring gears.

One turn of the motor should be 3 and a half turns on the outputshaft to the center diff.Or what ever rear diff you are using .The ratio is on the rear diff.So if the diff says 3.25 or something then the one turn of the motor should be 3 and 1/4 turn on the center diff output shaft.I don't know if that makes since.

Should be a silver sticker on the diff cover of the rear end if its still there. It tells the ratio.

With a degree wheel and a point that stays stationary on the input snout or rear axles, you can count just how many turns input turns will equal 1 turn at the rear axle output. Just make one using a protractor and some mathematics and put on a pointer that is held magnetically to the differential housing. It's easier than eyeballing it, and you can do similar things to the front unless you already know what final ratio is coming out of the JDM VR4 transmission. This is all assuming that the front and rear differentials are different ratios and causing the VC lockup as mentioned. Try disconnecting the rear driveshaft and rotate the rear wheels by hand just to be sure they want to spin with little effort and no drag from the brakes. With the motor off and the front end off the ground, you could also rotate the front wheels by hand to make sure they move properly too.

Ok guys here is a video of my awd setup. Check the rear wheels are rotating faster than the front. Is it normal????
