Still collecting parts for the AWD swap. Can't decide if I want 4 or 5 lug. the rear is 5 lug ,but can swap with 4-lug vr-4 hubs (have a line on a couple) or swap the front 4-lug to 5-lug. have a set of front spindles from the 90 talon parts car. was thinking about turning the dsm spindle down to fit into the csm bearing/knuckle also thinking about just putting the whole dsm spindle/knuckle on and dealing with the camber issues with camber plates. will the csm halfshaft splines mate to the dsm hub splines ?

thanks,
scot

mine did.

if i were to do it again though i'd switch the backs to 4 lug. theres alot of extra crap to do with switching the fronts to 5 lug... like steering end link adjustments... etc.

I would like 4 bolt hubs on my colt, cause then i could run 13's on my car, for that sleeper look, and the weight reduction.

I am not sure if 13's will fit over the rear discs after the awd swap.

14" was the minimum rim size needed to get over the front turbo brakes, and even the Elantra came with 14" rims and their smaller version of the front rotor setup (as compared to the turbo cars). 13" is for drum setups on smaller Mitsu cars, so it most likely would clear a rear setup, but not likely a front setup. Either way, 14" steelies will keep a properly sized tire planted better than a 13" rim and tire combo would, considering good suspension in the mix.
