Hi to all,

i was hoping someone out there could help me, i have a proton satria '00 model and i was thinking about a RWD conversion and dropping in a v6 (maybe the commodore alloytech). But i have NO idea what i should use... Is there another motor i should consider? what rear end diffs ect. should i use?
It has to be strong, its going to be my everyday car (if engineerable) and i also want it to be able to cop a thrashing.

If anyone has done a rwd conversion to their mirage/lancer/proton, or a v6 conversion could you please post me some details, maybe a photo or two.

Just thought i'd look for some help before i dive in the deep end and start cutting my car away.

also do you think it would be engineerable in nsw?

Thanks heaps to all those who reply.

Location: salt lake.
im not familiar with that car but im assuming its a FWD platform. in this case the most difficult part of making it RWD is the location of the steering rack

heres a few links to get you an idea of the mess your in for, its a miata motor going into a ford festiva, i hope you have alot of tools time and knowledge :) this guy used a front subframe from a subaru.
