I pulled the passenger side cv joint out of the rear diff. I needed to do this to take the pattern of the cv joint flange to the shop to make some of the parts that I needed. The cv joint came out with great ease, once it initially broke free it slid out no problems. When putting it back in it seems to go in properly until there is about 2-3 inches left :x . I looked inside, the lsd splines are still in there and sitting straight and center. The cv joint end had a couple of rough edges on the splines so I cleaned them up with a file. It still won't go in damn it. :x :x

Does the rear diff cover need to come off to get it back in? I doubt it, it should slide in once its lined up in my mind, just like the front cv joints... :wall: What in the world am I missing here?

I am heading back to the garage to try more stuff, I have a laptop out there.

Thanks in advance.

Got it, I filed down the very edge of the cv joint, put a bit more of a angle on it. Slid right in. :D back to the rest of the stuff now.
