 Post subject: question aboot gvr4 hubs

when your snagging rear hubs for the 4 lug swap what else do you need to make everything work on the DSM rear? calipers? something else?

i never dug into rear ends that deep, hell i dont even know how to remove them :oops:

help a brotha out.

If you already have the rear diff assembly from a talon I believe you need the hubs (piece with that the wheel studs in it), and the brake rotors. The rotors are the same diameter so the calipers and mounts will work. From what I have been told, the cups (piece that the cv joint bolts to) whether the 3 bolt or 4 bolt pattern will fit on the 4 bolt hubs. So the ones that you may already have should fit on the shaft from the hubs.

To remove them you need to remove the calipers, unbolt the cv joints, look inside the cup piece and you will see a nut, I believe its a 1-1/16th inch - remove that nut (its really tight and will be a p.i.t.a.). Use a piece of wood and a hammer to remove the cup from the shaft, then the shaft should be able to be tapped out fairly easy.

Install new bearings.
