I remember LILEVO talking about him and his friend doing the swaps for xxx amount of dollars when he did his red mirage. I was wondering who else would have an interest in doing these swaps. Of course time would be a big factor and collecting the parts. But this is something i might be interested it seening that i have no welding skills or a garage.

I'm in the same boat as you, luckly I found a shop about an hour away from me called Brothers Racing, that does AWD swaps. That is probably your best bet, find a shop close that is willing/does the swap.

i do have a shop in mind. They are pretty reputable and have been in a couple magazines. Maybe i'll just buy Jason's dvd and give it to them and see what they can do.

I have tossed the idea around, but not many people live around here with csm's.

How many people would be willing to pay the few thousand dollars to have the swap done. That is the question. We are all penny pinchers on here.

Im cutting grass on the side besides my regular job and im making pretty good side money. I figure, awd conversion is the best way to blow that cash :D . Honestly if i could weld and i had a garage i'd try it out.

Nah, rather do it myself and if needed to add extra support. Well I'm really good at fabing things up so by doing it myself give me more pride in my woek rather than have a shop do it for me,lol. I mean that's the way I look at it but not everyone is the same and there are some good shops that do great work too.

Dam you guys got me all excited for my new awd project which I'm dying to do,lol.

Wish some of you guys were closer to NC as I'd love to take on a project like this. Although I haven't done one yet I am fairly positive that I could.

Sure thing, you're not that far away. Plus I guarantee that it'll be cheaper than any shop and probably a better job.

That would be great. I'd probably just pay you to do the engine swap too if you found a good enough donor car. Should be pretty easy since i have a 4g61na. I just need to do a 5 speed conversion first. I'll keep you in mind when im ready
