Finally for the first time, I have an ebrake.

I picked up a set of 1G AWD ebrake cables. They fit pretty well, but they were a couple inches too long. I broke out the welder and fixed that problem.

The setup works great and after welding the custom brackets, it engages after a few clicks. I had a stock Mirage turbo cable, but the actual cable was too thick to fit through the 1G AWD caliper bracket.

Sweet!

I just did some looking in emails and the calipers that I bought last year are from a '93 tsi fwd with abs. The brake line was different but had enough different types kicking around that I made a matching working set. The parking brake cable mount piece that bolts to the caliper had to be bent a bit for some reason, I dont remember what it was hitting. And the cables work fine for me...

That bracket/mount piece I am talking about, I believe I used the one that came with my colt, it had all wheel disc brakes. That piece I am talking about can be seen in this pic hanging over the cv joint on the right side coming towards the camera.

- the calipers in this pic are the old ones that are seized and were not used. I dont have a pic of the calipers that I have to identify them better.

I reused 91 AWD Talon rear calipers and they fit properly through a set of turbo Cotl cables. This is just for reference, so if you use the 91 cable brackets at the caliper, you should be okay with any type thickness, stock mitsu cable of proper length.
