In the General Tech section, I submitted a review of a GOOD book for DSM upgrades. It's a GOOD book but it is a little short on the FWD to AWD section. I added the following to my review:
:o After more reading, I find some discrepency in the author's work. On the subject of FWD conversion to AWD he states: This is a simple operation for both 1G and 2G cars, done in two easy steps. Step one: Sell your FWD car. Step two: buy an AWD . Wasn't that easy?
Joking aside, it's virtually impossible on a 1G car.... :-?
Well, he is not familiar with the work being done around here. To his credit, he does say that he is covering 1990-99 models. Well, he should give some coverage to the '89- CSM's, and the '85-87 models. We need to contact him to let him know for the 2nd printing.
It's still a good book, and he does have some AWD stuff in it.

I agree with him 100% when it comes to DSM's, with the exception of 2g Spyders, because those never came in AWD. I've seen one AWD-swapped 1G in my life. Road Race Engineering did it for a rally car that they built, and they said they will NEVER do it again. Haha.

The AWD swap is much more straight-forward in a 2G DSM, basically the same as doing the swap in a CSM.
